Hey everyone! Hope you all had a lovely Saturday! Today I wanted to write about some Korean beauty finds I discovered while on vacation in Hawaii recently! As a complete skincare junkie, I am interested in trying any new products I can get my hands on. So when I came across the store Nature Republic one afternoon I was so excited, like actually maybe too excited. Nature Republic is a brand from Korea that sells amazing (and unique) beauty and skincare products at great prices- but they only have a few locations in the United States, one of them being on the island of Oahu.
My total haul consisted of two jars of sleeping face masks, two moisturizers, a facial mist, a peeling gel exfoliant, and 8 one time use face masks! The receipt didn't quite make it home from Hawaii- but I can tell you this- all of this stuff, yes ALL OF THIS SKINCARE STUFF was under $100.00. I was in heaven, considering I have had night time moisturizers cost more than all of this combined! Anyways..onto my personal picks!
I researched some of the products I bought, like the Bee Venom collection, but I mainly let the sales associate lead me in the right direction with what I should purchase.
I never expected to be buying a whitening mask, but the SA sold me on this when she said how radiant it leaves the skin- when you put this on the night before, you will wake up with bright and glowing skin! SOLD!
The Bee Venom Sleeping Mask is a popular product for those that have sensitive skin and redness. The venom actually calms the skin and leaves it feeling refreshed, hydrated, and less irritated. I picked this up because I do tend to have lots of redness, and for the price, it was worth a shot!
Sleeping masks are different from your average masks because well, you sleep in them, hence the name. You put them on before bed and wash them off in the morning prior to your morning skincare routine! If you are looking for a good sleeping mask, and can't get your hands on one of these, try the Clinique Moisturesurge overnight mask! It works great!
I picked up the steam cream because it is great for those days when my skin is feeling extra dry and needs a little more attention. Made with Shea butter, it soothes and hydrates the skin. The SA told me you could wear this day or night, but I personally have only used it at night and have really liked the results! And do not let the Shea butter scare you- it did not break me out like expected! It was thick, but surprisingly not pore clogging.
This final moisturizer I picked up because it was one of the stores best selling products. The reviews say it is a great daytime moisturizer that leaves the skin feeling hydrated without being greasy. I haven't used this yet, but expect a review when I do!
The Bee Venom mist, like the other bee venom products, is great for calming irritated skin. It can be used as a spray on toner, makeup setting spray, or to refresh makeup throughout the day!
I passed by this peeling gel the first time around the store- in fact I didn't even give it a second glance. But then the SA was demonstrating this on her hand and I was like "omg you must be added to my skincare regimen, like now." Basically, it is a gel that you massage onto clean dry skin. As you massage the gel in circular motions, it begins to ball up any dead skin! You can literally see the dead skin coming off of your face. So much more satisfying than a typical bead exfoliant. Is that weird? Just me? Anyways, this was $5.00 and I am tempted to say I like it better than Exfolikate ($85.00). Are you still with me?! Ill give you a minute to recover.
Aren't these pod face masks adorable?! I love love love the packaging and thought they would be perfect for traveling! Forget the whole face mask jar and instead pop a few of these in your bag! Airplane friendly too! I tried the seaweed one and really enjoyed it! It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed.
My final picks are a bunch of their sheet face masks! These are great because they are easy one time use masks you pop on, wait 20 minutes, throw away, and say hello to glowing skin. I got quite a few different types because I wanted to test them all out and see which ones I liked best! And of course, I had to pick up the Bee Venom one (most expensive coming in at $4.99. The others ranged between $1.00-3.00).
Ill post reviews of the products I have not used when I get a chance to test them out in the next week or so!
In the meantime, let me know what you guys have tried from this line, or a similar line! I would love to know what you got or what you recommend!
Thanks for reading
xoxo

Great! I just read that you'll post reviews. I want to hear about the bee venom and how helpful it was for redness! :-)

I love discovering new brands and I'm really curious about this one now. Wonder if they have any stores in Canada
ReplyDeleteI love Korean beauty products! I stock up when I go lol. The nature republic aqua cream is really good - it won awards in Seoul.

Ahhh I love Nature Republic! Thanks for sharing . . . I'll have to check out these products, especially the bee venom sleeping mask. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Face Shop is also amazing, if you haven't tried them, you should! I use their Power Perfection BB cream and phyto flour cleansing foam (olive) every single day and they've made my skin so much better! (I'm super acne prone so they're a lifesaver.)
